This song is by Alter Bridge, This is such a cool song. This is one of their most famous songs, their lead singer Myles Kennedy is featured in Slash’s solo album. He sings “Back from Cali” which is a very good song as well.
This song is about making the world a better place. I don’t really have stories about saving babies from fire or world changing stories but I did have experiences that definitely changed my world. Two of my girlfriend’s and I were catching a ride with a truck driver from a city that was very far from where I lived. We had to get home as soon as possible since our parents were expecting us. What we didn’t know is that the truck driver was a complete nut case and he had a really bad day and wanted to torture us for it. We drove with him for about 4 hours and then he asked us to join him to a supermarket for unloading his merchandise. We agreed to join with a promise that he will drop us off straight after. When he got to the supermarket he had a huge fight with the owner of the supermarket and he started screaming and threatening to kill him. At this point we were very scared. He closed the truck door and he wouldn’t let us out. When he drove away we asked him to drop us off in the next intersection but he refused and said “you are not going anywhere…” he continued to a few different places and locked up the doors and we couldn’t go out , we also couldn’t speak to anyone because he was always around. At some point he got hungry and he made join him for lunch. Of course we couldn’t eat anything because we were terrified. The whole ride lasted about 8 hours. He stopped at 4 different places. Back then there were no mobile phones so we couldn’t phone anyone. At some point one of my girlfriends started panicking and couldn’t stop crying, she begged him to stop the truck and let us go. Eventually he did let us go. We hitchhiked our way home and we were pretty traumatized by this experience. We were very tired and very weak. This experience didn’t stop us from hitchhiking and I cannot say that this horrific experience was the last scary hitchhiking experience we had. We definitely haven’t learned anything from it. Because the next day we were lifting our hand again, and found ourselves in another phsyco’s car and that was the essence of my teenage years… check out this awesome song…

This next song is by Drowning Pool, discovered by my Hubby and definitely deserves a spot on my blog!!!Their lead singer Dave Williams died in 2002 from a heart disease. It’s quite sad when talents go to waste. I’m not sure what this song is about but I’ve noticed that they keep repeating the following line: “I don’t care about anyone else but me…” it’s probably about a very selfish person! Speaking of being selfish, it’s what kept me alive during my army service. This was part of my survival kit. I didn’t really have a choice. When I reached the age of 18, I had to join the army. It is compulsory in my country. They make you wear unflattering uniform in a disgusting color, learn how to use a rifle and of course obey orders from people that you would never respect outside of the army. Yes, it sucks! It was quite hard for someone as spoiled as me that doesn’t like to listen to anyone but herself and don’t like to be told what to do. It was a struggle. I have plenty of stories of how I’ve managed to survive and I will tell you all about my experiences. I think the main thing that I’ve learned from the army is to manipulate my ways to everything. I have to say that I’ve tried using the same tricks outside of the army and it definitely didn’t work! I miss the army days , It was the first time I had to manage on my own without my parents to save my ass, If I got into trouble and of course I did , I had to bear the consequences and let me tell you – it wasn’t easy ! But what doesn’t kill you definitely makes you stronger …anyway check out this awesome song…
This song is by Motley Crue. I think this one of their best songs. My Hubby went away for a 10 days business trip to America and I’m quite sad without him. The house is so empty without him and even though I keep myself busy with my girlfriend, shopping, eating out, watching TV and playing my guitar it is definitely not the same without him. I hope my hubby is having fun in the land of the free and the rest of the bullshit . I will be here waiting for his return to our home sweet home…check out Tommy Lee’s amazing performance on the Keyboard and the amazing guitar solo by Mick Mars on the live video, still sounds awesome after 25 years!
This next song is by Hole. The band was founded by Courtney Love. They had a few good songs. Of course I had to post them on my website because they were part of the Grunge movement which I love very much and also Courtney Love was Kurt Cobain’s wife so she deserves some respect! Love wrote this song about Billy Corgan Smashing Pumpkins Frontman , apparently she was dating him before she met Cobain.
And now I’ll tell you about how I’ve learned that’s it’s not good to eat food that was dropped on the floor…when I was 5 years old , I’ve developed this habit of escaping out of Kindergarten. Not that I didn’t enjoy getting messy all day and eating sand with the rest of kids , of course I did but I’ve always looked for new challenges and one of them was opening the gates and getting the hell out of there without anyone noticing. Of course I had to convince my friend to come with me because it’s even more challenging to influence someone else. I was very creative back then…anyway, once my friend and I managed to escape we would usually think of ways to get some treats. We had a couple of elderly neighbors who used to feed us ice-cream and other sweets. So usually we spent a lot of time in their house. They never said asked questions about Kindy and they were always happy to see us. One day the old people were out of the house so we just hanged around outside of our building. And there on the floor we found 8 pieces of chocolate, it had a strange color of white and brown , the white parts indicated that it’s was off but we didn’t know that back then , and we just wanted to get our hands on that chocolate. Each of us ate 4 pieces. It had a horrible taste but we ate it anyway. Later on that day both my friend and I had a sore stomach and we were very sick. And from that day onwards, I never eat anything that was dropped on the floor, so if you don’t experience – you never learn anything! Check out this cool anger song…

This next song is by Janis Joplin. Janis died when she was only 27 years old, she overdosed on heroin. Jimmi Hendrix died at the same year and at the same age from overdose of sleeping pills. It was indeed a tough year for the music industry. I used to listen to her a lot when I first discovered the 60’s-70’s music period. My best friend and I used to be big fans of Led Zeppelin. During my Led Zeppelin period, my sister bought a collection of Janis Joplin’s greatest hits. Of course I was very curious about this amazing voice that sang along to an amazing 60’s/70’s guitar sounds. I had to get my hands on that disc! Both my friend and I got really addicted to it. We actually wanted to be like her so bad that we shopped for all special 70’s shoes, pants, necklaces and other accessories. We wanted to be part of that era so much!
During the same period when I was a teenager, my friends and I would hitchhike to all kind of music festivals. We would sleep outside somewhere, meet a lot of new people and simply have fun. If we were stuck with no money then we would ask people on the streets for a few coins. We knew how to get by back in those days and we weren’t scared of anything or anyone. We were free spirits as if we were part of the 70’s scene – only it was 90’s! As usual history repeats itself ! This next song is by Screaming Trees. They were one of the bands that started Seattle Grunge movement back in the late 80’s.You probably noticed I’m really into Grunge music, I’ve discovered it in an early age and I never got enough of it. This is such a great song, I fell in love with it instantly when it was released. This song was included in the soundtrack of the movie “Singles” I watched this movie several times because the soundtrack is all about Grunge music with most of my favourite bands and it is just awesome. The movie itself features Pearl Jam members, Chris Cornell and a performance of Alice In Chains. The movie is quite crappy but it’s worth watching if you are into the Seattle Grunge Scene. As I’ve mentioned before, I have discovered the Grunge movement right after Pearl Jam released their second album Vs. my sister bought their two albums Ten and Vs. I couldn’t stop listening to it. I never heard anything like it. Back then I was into Heavy Metal and this was something completely different that was quite heavy but was definitely not heavy metal. They didn’t have the look or anything that comes with it. I’ve decided to do a little research. I remember going to my favourite record shop called the “Junk”,I used to spend a lot of time in this shop. I used to travel by bus all by myself it was my special alone time. That’s where I bought my first Soundgaren & Alice in Chains albums and many more albums. That was a great discovery of great bands and sounds . That’s it, back to this awesome song , check it out…
This song is by Monaco. The band was formed by New Order’s bassist Peter Hook. This group played for a period of 5 years and then they broke up. This is their most famous song and it is awesome!!!
This song is about failed relationship once again, for f…sake what’s wrong with today’s musicians. Can’t they come up with more creative subjects to write on than failed relationship? Anyway, since I don’t have any stories about failed relationship (thank god for that!) then I’ll tell you another one of my stupid childhood stories. When I was about 5 years old, there was a grocery shop next to our house and the guy that owned the place allowed all his loyal customers pay for their groceries at the end of each month. I remember walking with my mum for grocery shopping, she would always say –“write it down” and I’ve never seen her actually paying for anything. The owner had a book where he would write down the details of everything my mum purchased and then we would walk out of the shop. I picked up the magic words “write it down”. I figured I can buy a lot of lollies and chocolate and basically anything I want and all I have to say is “write it down”, I don’t need money for all my sweets I can take whatever I want from the shop without paying anything. Because the guy knew me he never asked questions and I would walk into the shop grab all my sweets and ask him to “write it down”. At one point I even invited all my friends from kindi to take whatever they want from the shop and I’ve asked the guy to “write it down”. At the end of the month my mum had a huge bill to pay from all of my shopping. She had no clue I took stuff from the shop. She asked the owner for the breakdown of the bill. That’s how she found out that I’ve learned the magic words “write it down” of course she tried to explain to me that it’s wrong and I shouldn’t be taking anything from the shop. Of course I didn’t listen and kept doing it for a while. And then one day we moved away to a new place and the magic words didn’t work for me anymore…check out this wonderful song…
This song is by Staind . They are my favourite band in recent years. This is such an awesome song! I couldn’t find the meaning of this song anywhere but I’m pretty sure Staind wrote it for their fans “Thank you for the letter that you thought you wrote in vain and for the times you chose to stand out in the rain and wait for me, for me” When I was in junior high, I was very naughty. I’ve spent most of my time outside of class, annoying all my teachers and interrupting other classes. I was picking on one particular teacher. I made up some stupid nicknames for him. He had a ridicules long beard. He used it to hide his crooked teeth. He was very short and skinny. He was a tiny man covered with lots of hair on his face. One day he was teaching another class and I was very bored because I got kicked out of my classroom by another teacher. While I was outside I kept opening his classroom door. He closed it and I opened it. This game lasted for a couple of minutes until he had enough and when I’ve opened the door again he slapped me in the face. It was quite painful, even though he was a small man, he was quite strong. I was in a complete shock. The entire class had witnessed it. Everyone told me that I should complain about it to the School principal and that he should get fired for hitting me. The following day my teacher was so scared that I’m going to report him that he took me for a chat and he kept apologizing and begged me not to say anything because he might lose his job. At some point I’ve stopped listening to what he had to say, I just looked at him and felt sorry for him with his shitty job and his shitty teeth and his tiny body and I’ve decided not to tell anyone about this incident. That’s probably the first time that I’ve realized that teachers have the crappiest job ever! Of course it never stopped me from humiliating the rest of my teachers all through high school. This song is by Bloc Party. A young group that brings the good old alternative music back to life. I have no idea what’s this song about, who cares as long as the music is cool. Now for something completely different, I’ll tell you about how one of my best friend’s covered the entire school with Graffiti. She has written lines from songs of a famous rock star. She and a couple of other friends sneaked into our high school at night time and sprayed the entire outside walls. She never told us about it though. I was 16 back then and I went to school as usual and when I got to school I saw the Graffiti everywhere, she didn’t leave any white spots on the walls. It was covered with paint everywhere. Everyone was whispering about who has done it, all of us had speculations about it. We blamed each other. I just couldn’t believe that my friend actually took part of it. She is crazy and all but that was way too wild for anyone. Of course we found out it was her after the school principal got the police involved. We all had to be checked by the police. My friend was caught because she still had some paint stuck to her nails, she couldn’t take it off. It was quite funny! The school didn’t press any charges but they asked my friend to clean the graffiti from the walls. It was quite a big job for one person so everyone volunteered to help out. I couldn’t take part of the cleaning because back then her parents thought that I was a bad influence so she wasn’t allowed to hang out with me while they were around. they got over it a few months after but at the time I had to stay away from her. She was actually the bad influence. She was way more disturbed than me but because we had a really shitty teacher that was trying to break us up, she rang her parents and said that I’m a bad influence and that they should keep her away from me. She did the same thing with my parents; she called them in and said that another guy friend that I had back then was a bad influence and that I should stay away from him. My parents were smart enough not to listen to that bitch. Years later I’ve worked in a bank as a personal banker and this teacher was one of my clients, it was payback time and I did everything I could to make her life miserable! This song is by Bomfunk Mc’s. This song was a huge hit back in 2000, I fell in love it instantly when I first heard back when it was released. 11 years later and it’s still a pretty cool song.
I started going out to clubs when I was about 11 years old. Quite a young age for clubbing but where I lived it was quite common because some really disturbed adults opened clubs especially for kids in these ages. Every Friday night there were buses that picked us up close to where we lived and dropped us off in different clubs. My friends and I used to hang out in two main clubs. We would dress up for the occasion, get some money for soft drinks and dance all night, sometimes we would dance with a cute boy that we met that night. Later on when the party was over the same bus would take us home. None of my class mates used to go out to these clubs because they weren’t allowed to go there, I used to go out with kids from a different school that I’ve met thorough my neighbor that was also my best friend. I used to brag about it to all of my class mates, I felt really important going out to those clubs meeting different kids from different schools. When I look back on it I was way too young to hang out in these clubs especially since I was exposed to horror stories such as stabbings and all kind of things that you are not supposed to know when are only 11 years old. It did contribute to my street wisdom which helped me a lot when I moved to a new city a year after .I’ve always been an independent girl from an early stage and it was just another way to express my freedom at a young age.
