Drowning Pool – Tear away (album: Sinner 2002)

This next song is by Drowning Pool, discovered by my Hubby and definitely deserves a spot on my blog!!!  Their lead singer Dave Williams died in 2002 from a heart disease. It’s quite sad when talents go to waste.
I’m not sure what this song is about but I’ve noticed that they keep repeating the following line: “I don’t care about anyone else but me…” it’s probably about a very selfish person! Speaking of being selfish, it’s what kept me alive during my army service. This was part of my survival kit. I didn’t really have a choice. When I reached the age of 18, I had to join the army. It is compulsory in my country. They make you wear unflattering uniform in a disgusting color, learn how to use a rifle and of course obey orders from people that you would never respect outside of the army. Yes, it sucks! It was quite hard for someone as spoiled as me that doesn’t like to listen to anyone but herself and don’t like to be told what to do. It was a struggle. I have plenty of stories of how I’ve managed to survive and I will tell you all about my experiences. I think the main thing that I’ve learned from the army is to manipulate my ways to everything. I have to say that I’ve tried using the same tricks outside of the army and it definitely didn’t work! I miss the army days , It was the first time I had to manage on my own without my parents to save my ass, If I got into trouble and of course I did , I had to bear the consequences and let me tell you – it wasn’t easy ! But what doesn’t kill you definitely makes you stronger …anyway check out this awesome song…
