Stone Temple Pilots – Plush (album: Core 1992)

This song is from another great grunge band. Their first album core was a big hit in the early 90’s. The next song is one of the songs that made them famous and no doubt it is a great song.  The lead singer Scott Weiland joined “Velvet Revolver “group in 1996. He is a master of disguise as he changes his appearance all the time.
I personally never get tired of listening to it. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do...

What’s this song about?
Its lyrics were loosely based on a newspaper article Weiland had read about a girl who had been found dead in an area outside of San Diego. Weiland has also said that the song's lyrics are a metaphor for a failed relationship. (Wikipedia - Plush).

Soundgarden – Rusty Cage (album: badmotorfinger 1992)

This is an awesome song by the legendry Soundgarden.  It’s a really fast rhythm song and the video clip Suits perfectly to the sounds of the instruments. Chris Cornell is my favorite person in the entire music industry, I have seen him perform live and he is just amazing. He’s voice and he’s passion for his music is incredible.
What can I say – I’m a grunge junky!!!

Lyrics: Rusty Cage Lyrics

And now for the misheard lyrics version:

Band’s official website: Soundgarden

The band’s point of view of the song:
"Rusty Cage" was written by frontman Chris Cornell. Guitarist Kim Thayil on the song:
“The tuning on that song was pretty nutty. It's recorded with a wah wah in the low position used as a filter. That was the first time we did anything like that. It was Chris' idea; he wanted to get that weird tone that you can't really dial in on an amp. But if you use the wah wah as a filter, it gets an incredibly weird sound. And if you listen to that riff, especially if you've heard the original demos of it, it almost sounds backward. Wikipedia – Rusty Cage.

Motley Crue – don’t go away mad just go away (album: Dr Feelgood 1989)

And now for abit of nostalgia for my sake ...one of the first heavy metal bands that I’ve listened to. The video clip is quite ridicules like all the rest of the 80s’ & 90’s videos.
This song is a great song, pretty dramatic opening but overall the notorious Vince Neil, Tommy Lee and the legendary Nikki Sixx are doing a great job as usual.
official video clip:

Lyrics: Don't go away mad Lyrics

Band’s official website: Motley Crue
What’s this song about?
Bassist Nikki Sixx told Rolling Stone: "I saw that line in a movie somewhere, I can't even remember what movie. I thought, 'Great idea for a song.' A little tongue in check. A little sarcasm there." Vocalist Vince Neil added: "That's a great song. We've been playing it for years. I love to play guitar and sing that song. It's kind of a feel-good song. When that song comes on everybody wants to sing along with you."
(Wikipedia – don’t go away mad Just go away).

Here is a funny interview with the band from 1984. They have managed to anger a few religious people in America when they released their second album “shouts at the devil”:

Seether – Sympathetic (album: Disclaimer I 2002)

This next song is by Seether, the lyrics of this song are just wonderful and full of meaning. The lead singer Shaun Morgan has a fantastic voice, he sounds even better on live performance and you can check it out in the live unplugged video that I’ve added.

The meaning of the lead singer & bassist tatts:
The lead singer has a tattoo of a uterus so he’ll always remember where he came from and he won’t become an egotistical rock dick....check out this video.

Spiderbait – Jellybean drifter (Grand Slam 1999)

This song is a pure alternative rock song by the Aussie band Spiderbait!!! I can listen to it over and over again.
It is sung by the drummer named Mark Maher aka Kram. The way he rolls the words on his tongue is just unbelievable. I’ve tried singing it myself and it came out completely wrong!!! Check this out....
I’ve searched for the video clip of this song on YouTube all I could find is the following message:
“This video contains content from UMG. It is not available in your country”
Don’t really know what it means, anyway here is a link to the song:

Alice in Chains – Them Bones (album: Dirt 1992)

Lyrics: Them Bones Lyrics

And now for the misheard lyrics version...

Band’s official website: Alice In Chains

What’s this song about?
This song was written by guitarist Jerry Cantrell, he was quoted saying the following:
“I was just thinking about mortality, that one of these days we'll end up a pile of bones. It's a thought for every human being, whether you believe in an after-life or that when we die, that's it. The thought that all the beautiful things and knowledge and experiences you've been through just end when you end scares me, the thought that when you close your eyes for good, it's gone forever” (Wikipedia – Them Bones)
